The role of governor in any integrated school is essential to provide support and foster the development of the school. If you are interested in becoming a governor in an integrated school there are several ways of doing this:
Parent Governor: This is a person who has a child/ children attending the school in question.
Foundation / Trust Governors: Grant Maintained Integrated Schools (GMIs) appoint 4 Foundation Governors – these are people who have a commitment to Integrated Education. You can approach a school independently to let them know you are interested in becoming a governor or you can contact NICIE firstname.lastname@example.org and we will pass your details onto the school.
DE Rep: The Department of Education put out a call for governors every few years. For further information on becoming a DE governor rep please click on the link: https://www.deni.gov.uk/articles/appointment-and-election-school-governors
