Dungannon & Armagh Students enjoy Italian skiing experience12/03/2009
Students from Integrated College Dungannon and Armagh Integrated College recently returned from a very successful skiing trip to snowy Northern Italy.
The party of 31 students was accompanied by the Armagh Principal Mr Clarke, and two lucky teachers from Integrated College Dungannon, Mr Rice and Mrs McKenna.
For a full week, the whole group got to stay in the impressive San Valentino resort, in the newly opened San Baldo Hotel.
Along with six days of skiing the students enjoyed a number of other activities, including ice skating, bingo, quiz nights and a visit to a specialist pizza restaurant.
All the students had a great time taking to the challenging ski slopes and many of them are looking forward to the next trip.
Mr Stephen Rice, Head of PE said: “All the students really enjoyed the week and many of them made great progress on the slopes. The hotel and food was excellent, with plenty of activities to do in the evenings. If anything we probably had too much snow throughout the course of the week!”
