This project is led by Deirdre Doherty from Mill Strand
Primary School in Northern Ireland. Deirdre is WAU Coordinator and has a real passion for developing science learning in the ‘Outdoor Classroom’ in both her own and other schools. Deirdre’s school work has been so successful in promoting local environment education and awareness that it was recently given part of the local beach to look after as its own! The proud school is now very busy looking after its adopt-ed piece of shoreline.
This project, funded by the PSTT, has a particular emphasis on science and aims to develop the use of the ‘Outdoor Classroom Environment’. Deirdre provides guidance, hands on tips and lessons with relevance no matter where your local environments is, be it seaside or landlocked!
