Integrated Schools take awards at the Families First NI Education Awards

The Families First NI Education Awards 2022 was held at the Titanic Belfast on the 9th April, and Integrated Education was represented throughout the categories.

Integrated College Dungannon and Malone College were nominated in the Best Post Primary – College category, along with Glengormley High School who are transforming to Integrated status among others.

Two Principals from Integrated schools were nominated for Best Principal (Sean Spillane from Lough View Integrated Primary School and Katrina Moore from Malone College) along with Ricky Massey from Glengormley High School.

Lough View Integrated Primary School were also nominated for the Best School in Belfast.

Ashleigh Moran from Seaview Integrated Primary School and Fiona McGoldrick from Lough View Integrated Primary School were nominated in the Best Teacher category.

And finally, Seaview Integrated Primary School were nominated in the Gold Start Awards.

Congratulations to Integrated College Dungannon who won the Best Post-Primary School Award at the Families First NI Education Awards 2022.

Representatives from the Board of Governors and staff along with Head Boy, Reece Falloon, attended a formal gala event in Titanic Belfast, where the winner of Best Post-Primary School was announced.

Integrated College Dungannon staff along with, College Principal, Mr Andrew Sleeth, receive the award for Best Post-Primary at the NI Education Awards.

ICD had been nominated by parents of the College for the award of Best Post-Primary School; acknowledging the College’s extensive support of their students, particularly during the lockdown periods. Congratulations also to Seaview Integrated Primary School who won a Gold Star Award for outstanding contributions to education and in particular for transitioning to Integrated Status. Mrs Moran was a proud runner-up finalist for Best Teacher Award.

And a special mention goes to Mr Massey (Principal) and Glengormley High School. Mr Massey was announced as Winner of Best Principal Northern Ireland and Glengormley High School was Runner Up in the category for Best Post Primary School.
