APTIS is the Association of Principals in Integrated Schools. This Association meets at least once a term and runs a conference once a year also.

It has several aims including

  • Being a clear, influential voice in the educational arena of Northern Ireland
  • Providing a forum where Principals can address current issues of common concern
  • Supporting new principals and principals in transforming/transformed schools – mentoring and affirming
  • Building leadership capacity
  • Learning from each other and celebrating success
  • Harnessing the passion for the integrated vision and helping to make it a reality

The Current Chair is Amanda McNamee, Principal of Lagan College in Belfast.
